The Old Railway Hotel, historically known as The Porton Hotel was built in early 1900’s Porton and has recently been refurbished by a local consortium in an effort to bring the village pub back to its former glory. Consisting of two bars, a public lounge and a restaurant, which are interconnected by a central ‘see-through’ serving area, this delightful tavern with its traditional, historic décor takes you back to the by gone days of locomotive travel. Sip on a local ale, modern lager or flavoursome gin cocktail in our quiet, tucked away part of history. The hotel boasts 8 redesigned fully upgraded guest rooms, all fitted with en-suite washrooms and double beds. 2 of which include rooms that split into single sleepers. All occasions worthy of celebration deserve an outstanding level of care and style. We are committed to providing bespoke services to suit your needs. We can order flowers, chocolates or even champagne to your room for those extra special occasions. Enjoy a locally sourced, indulgent breakfast to stimulate your palette after a relaxing nights sleep, to set you up for your day. Enjoy the local attractions such as the historic city of Salisbury, Stonehenge, the Wiltshire countryside, and the iconic Wiltshire White Horses. Some of which date back 250 years. Guests are welcome to enjoy an occasional drink or drop in for a light bite to savour the full and extensive menu from our award winning chefs and their team.
